Position Title: AutoCAD Designer

247 Workspace, one of the fastest growing office furniture retailers in North America, has an immediate opportunity for a CAD designer. The work environment is entrepreneurial, energetic,

Summary of Responsibilities:
Produce designs and layouts of systems furniture from several lines, and provide specification of furniture per final layouts, along with installation drawings. Coordinate with sales, sales
support and installers to ensure work accuracy and timeliness on deadline-driven projects.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Develop furniture block plans, space plans, fabric/finish palette, final furniture specifications and installation drawings.
- Produce 3D drawings and perform jobsite walks.
- Perform field measures, product inventory, programming, specification verifications, and ancillary product research.
- Consult with clients to provide work flow solutions.
- Participate in sales meetings with sales staff and/or clients to support sales presentation.
- Assist sales organization in proposal development.
- Prioritize workload and adhere to agreed upon commitments.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAP Studio.
- High attention to detail.
- Be self-directed with high degree of initiative.
- Ability to prioritize multiple, deadline-driven projects.
- Strong organizational, collaboration and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of furniture systems and electrical/cabling issues essential. Minimum 3-5 years experience in interior design for office furniture projects.
- General understanding of building systems and building codes preferred.
- Customer focused.
