Lateral files can store 3-ring binders, computer printouts, and file folders in the oversized ‘B’ drawers in every cabinet. Doors fully recede into the cabinet. Fixed front, looped full pulls and receding doors have an added stiffener. Interlock system prevents tipping by allowing only one drawer to open at a time. Cam locks with removable cores are standard. Additional finishing details, options and inner support channels make this the most used storage series.
The File Taxi is an innovative, alternative office solution meeting the needs of the ever-changing office. It features two box drawers with pencil tray and divider plate, 12" file drawer with full suspension, four swivel casters, receding door with fixed shelf and three divider plates. Available without casters to fit under a 29" H worksurface.
Office Signage
There are four basic categories of interior signs that must work in concert with each other to guide people through a building:
Identification - signs indicate key locations, room numbers, people names, titles and departments
Wayfinding - signs provide direction, such as a directory of department names and their room numbers, or an overhead sign marked with the name of a department and a directional arrow
Regulatory - signs assure safety and compliance with local building codes. They restrict people from entering potentially dangerous or hazardous rooms such as electrical closets and laboratories. They provide life-safety by marking elevators, stairwells and evacuation routes.
Information signs - display messages such as meeting locations and dates of upcoming events. They welcome visitors, announce business hours and more.
Ergonomic Hints & Tips
Minimized Reach Surfing, Left Side or Right Side options, use the palm rest when resting during keying tasks, vary the keyboard height from elbow height especially positions below elbow height and set the keyboard tilt to follow the line of your forearm and hand. For example, if your keyboard is lower than elbow height, slightly tilt the keyboard support away from you so as to avoid bending your wrist. If you primarily use the alpha keys (left 2/3rd's of the keyboard), line up "H" key with your nose and centre of screen. Maintain comfortable angles at your ankles (approximately 90?) as you change the position of your lower legs. If you have to set your seat at a height that does not allow your feet to rest comfortably on the floor, a footrest is a necessary support to avoid undue pressure on the underside of your thighs.
